Born and raised in Baltimore, MD a son, husband, and father has been embracing his love for music since the age of 12. His earlier introductions to music were through Hip-Hop and Jazz. His interest for DJ’n grew when he discovered his ability to use music to influence culture and make people dance. Shortly after that, he was playing events for “DTLR, INC” (one of the leading retailers in the fashion industry for 30 years). He applied his talents to the “BET Music Matters Tour” as the official tour DJ for recording artist CJ Hilton, playing venues all over the United States.

Since then he has been able to apply his talent all over the country to countless events of all types including weddings, private events, clubs, in-stores, and tours. His open format experience has allowed him to play all genres of music fluently. What seems to many as an overnight success was actually birthed by hard work, countless relationships, and his love for the craft. In expanding his brand DJ Vanrod looks forward to sharing his experience of being an “International DJ” with the world capturing moments behind the scenes and on the stage.
